Terms of Use
The rules for using Brooksmissy, written to be read. In short: the site is free, it is for adults aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom, and nothing you play here is ever for money.

1. Who we are
Brooksmissy (brooksmissy.co.uk) is operated by Buniatyan Digital LLC, a company registered in the Republic of Armenia under state registration no. 273.110.1428053 (TIN: 02847193), whose registered office is at 10 Vazgen Sargsyan Street, Office 42, Kentron, Yerevan 0010, Armenia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Buniatyan Digital LLC.
You can reach us at hello@brooksmissy.co.uk or through the contact form.
2. These terms
These Terms of Use apply whenever you visit Brooksmissy, play a game in demo mode or create an account. By using the site you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy, which explain what is stored and why.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site. You are using Brooksmissy as a consumer, for your own private enjoyment, and nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
3. Who can use Brooksmissy
Brooksmissy is for adults only. To use the site you must:
- be 18 or over;
- live in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland); and
- use the site for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.
We ask every visitor whether they are 18 or over, and we ask for your date of birth when you create an account. If you are under 18, please leave the site. If we have reason to believe that someone using the site is under 18, we may block their access.
4. What Brooksmissy is
Brooksmissy is a free-to-play social casino games site. Our games look and feel like slots, Hold & Spin, cascades, instant games and table games, but they are for entertainment only. There is no real money play and no prizes of monetary value.
There is nothing to buy: no shop, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. We do not ask for payment details at any point. Because nothing of value can be staked or won, Brooksmissy is not gambling and we are not a gambling operator. Playing or success in social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
5. Pebbles
Pebbles are the points you play with on Brooksmissy. They are a score, nothing more.
- Pebbles have no cash value and no value of any other kind.
- Pebbles are never sold. You cannot buy them, now or later, at any price.
- Pebbles cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another player, traded, sold or exchanged for money, goods, services, vouchers or anything else.
- You do not own Pebbles. They are part of the game, and they exist only inside your account in your own browser.
A new account starts with 25,000 Pebbles. You can earn more from levelling up, the Holt and the Weir meter, and if your balance runs out you can take a free top-up of 5,000 Pebbles. We may change how many Pebbles are handed out, and how, at any time. Any attempt to sell, buy or trade Pebbles or accounts, on or off the site, breaks these terms.
6. Your account lives on your device
A Brooksmissy account is unusual: it is kept only in the storage of the browser you created it in. Nothing about your account is sent to our server, which means we cannot see it, look it up, restore it or move it to another device for you.
- Your password and your recovery key are stored as PBKDF2-SHA-256 hashes, not as text.
- When you join, we show you a recovery key once. It is the only way to reset a forgotten password. We cannot reset a password for you, so please keep the key somewhere safe.
- If you clear your browser's site data, use a private window, or switch to another browser or device, the account will not be there. Clearing site data deletes the account permanently.
- Anyone who uses your device and browser may be able to reach your account. Please sign out on shared devices and choose a password you do not use anywhere else.
You must give true details when you join, including your real date of birth. Each person should keep to one account in each browser.
7. Demo mode
You can try any game without an account. In demo mode you play with practice credits that live only in the page's memory: nothing is saved, and reloading the page starts the demo again. Practice credits are not Pebbles, cannot be moved into an account and, like Pebbles, have no value. Demo games use the same rules and the same random results as games played on an account.
8. The Holt and the Club
The Holt (the Lily Wheel, Skim cards, Errands and the Weir meter) and the Club tiers (Ripple, Rill, Brook, Stream, River and Delta) are free features for players with an account. They hand out Pebbles and mark your progress. They are not offers, they carry no value outside the game, and you never need to buy anything to use them.
We may change, rebalance, pause or remove any reward feature, tier or level threshold. Because Pebbles and levels have no value, a change like this does not entitle anyone to compensation.
9. Acceptable use
Please use Brooksmissy fairly and lawfully. You must not:
- use the site if you are under 18 or do not live in the United Kingdom;
- offer, sell, buy or trade Pebbles, accounts or recovery keys, or claim that Pebbles have any value;
- attack, overload or probe our server, or use bots, scrapers or scripts to send requests to it;
- send spam, abuse, threats or unlawful material through the contact form, or pretend to be someone else;
- copy, frame or republish our games, artwork or text, or reuse our code to build another service;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or harms other people.
Changing the game code running in your own browser only changes what you see on your own screen; it does not create anything of value and it is not supported. If something goes wrong after you do it, we cannot help.
10. Game rules, results and errors
Every game has a rules page that explains how it plays and lists everything it pays. Results come from your browser's cryptographic random number generator at the moment you play; our page on how results are made explains this in more detail.
Software is never perfect. If a game shows a result or a balance that does not match its rules because of a fault, the rules win and the faulty result does not count. If a fault removes Pebbles from your balance, we cannot restore them, because we never hold a copy of your account. Since Pebbles have no value, a fault like this is not a financial loss.
11. Player care
Every account has a time reminder and a Take a break option that pauses all games on the account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. You can find both in your player care settings. If you are worried about how much you play here or gamble anywhere else, our Safer play page lists free, confidential help in the UK.
12. Our content
The games, their artwork, sounds and code, the Brooksmissy name, Missy the otter and the text on the site are original work made for Brooksmissy, and they belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may use the site for your own enjoyment. You may not copy, sell, adapt or redistribute any part of it without our written permission, except where the law allows.
13. Availability and changes to the site
We aim to keep Brooksmissy available, but we do not promise that it will always be online, free of errors or compatible with every browser and device. We may add, change or retire games and features, and we may need to take the site offline for maintenance, for security or for reasons outside our control.
The site needs an up-to-date browser with JavaScript and site storage switched on. Some features, such as accounts, will not work in browsers that block storage.
14. Our responsibility to you
We provide Brooksmissy with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If content we supply damages a device or other digital content belonging to you because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
Otherwise, because Brooksmissy is free and for private use only, we are not responsible for:
- losses that were not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms;
- any business losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunity;
- losing an account, Pebbles or progress because site data was cleared, a browser or device was changed or reset, or a recovery key was lost;
- problems caused by your device, browser, internet connection or software we do not control.
15. Ending your use
You can stop using Brooksmissy at any time. You can delete your account from your account page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. If you break these terms, we may block your access to the site or to the contact form.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change matters to how you use the site, we will say so on the site. If you keep using Brooksmissy after a change, the new terms apply.
17. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be heard in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts; if you live in Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of Northern Ireland. Wherever you live in the UK, you keep any protections that the law of your part of the UK gives you as a consumer.
18. Contact us
