The player care tools in your account

Brooksmissy is free and nothing here is played for money, but that does not mean time spent on games does not matter. Casino-style games are made to be absorbing, and it is easy to look up and find that an hour has gone. That is why every account comes with two player care tools. Here is how they work.

The time reminder

The time reminder keeps track of how long you have been on the site in your current visit. When the time comes, it shows a short check-in that tells you how many minutes you have been here, with a choice to keep playing or to open your player care settings.

You can set it to every 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or switch it off. New accounts start at every 60 minutes. The count belongs to the tab you have open, so closing the tab and coming back later starts a fresh one.

Take a break

Take a break pauses all games on your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. While a break is running, every game shows a pause screen in place of the board, with the time the break ends. The rest of the site keeps working, so you can still read the Help centre or look at your settings.

A break is worth considering if you notice you are playing for longer than you meant to, if you are playing to take your mind off something, or simply if you would like to step away for a while.

Things worth knowing

• Both tools are part of your account, so they live in your browser like the rest of it and apply to your account on that browser.
• Guests in demo mode do not have these settings, because nothing in demo mode is saved.
• You will find both under Player care in your account, and you can change the reminder whenever you like.
